Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
The short version
- We collect what we need to run group gifts: your name and email, the gifts you organize or chip in to, and who they're for.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Gift cards are bought through Tango Card, so the recipient's name and email are shared with them.
- We don't sell your information, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.
- Delete your account any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or at solusindi.com/delete-account. Email support@solusindi.com to see or correct your data.
Who we are
Boon Bunny ("we", "us") is a group gifting app operated by Gustavo A Martín, Kansas, USA. This policy covers the Boon Bunny apps for iOS, Android and the web, the website at solusindi.com, and the emails we send. If you have a question about it, write to support@solusindi.com.
What we collect
Your account
- Name and email address. You give us these when you sign up, or we receive them from Google or Apple when you sign in with them. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only get the relay address Apple creates.
- Sign-in identifiers. The account ID Google or Apple gives us, so we can recognize you next time. We don't get your Google or Apple password.
- Password. If you sign up with email, we store only a one-way hash of your password, never the password itself.
- Phone number, only if you choose to add one.
Gifts you organize
- The occasion, target amount, deadline, delivery date, and the personal message you write.
- The recipient's name and email address (and phone number, if you add one), so we can deliver the gift to them.
- The gift cards you choose and how the pot is split between them.
Contributions
- The name you show to the group, the amount you chip in, the processing fee, and any message you leave for the recipient.
- If you chip in without signing in, the name and email address you enter. We use the email to send your receipt and any refund notice.
- Payment references from Stripe (for example, a payment ID and its status) so we can match your payment to the gift and refund it if needed. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never sent to or stored on our servers.
Gift cards
- Details of the gift card orders we place: the brand, amount, order status, and the card codes or links the recipient uses to redeem them. Card codes are stored encrypted.
Feedback
- If you answer our short feedback survey, we keep your answers (a rating, what you liked or what frustrated you, and whether you'd pay for the app) with your account so we can follow up and improve Boon Bunny.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most online services, our servers record technical information about requests, such as IP address, time, and the app or browser making the request. We use it to keep the service running, fix problems and prevent abuse.
- Crash and error reports. When the app or our servers hit an error, a report goes to our error-tracking provider, Sentry: what went wrong, the app version, the device type and operating system, and your account's internal ID so we can find related problems. We remove IP addresses, email addresses and other personal details we can identify from these reports before they are sent.
- Email delivery events. Our email provider tells us whether a message was delivered, bounced, or marked as spam, so we can stop sending to addresses that don't work.
- On your device. The app stores your sign-in token in your device's secure storage and a few preferences locally. We don't use advertising IDs, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
- To run the service: create your account, set up gifts, take contributions, buy and deliver gift cards, and show organizers and contributors the progress of a gift.
- To send emails about gifts you're part of: invitations, receipts, reminders, delivery of the gift to the recipient, and refund notices. These are part of the service, not marketing.
- To provide support, investigate problems, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running the service you asked for), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and preventing fraud), and complying with the law. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who can see your information
Other people using Boon Bunny
- The organizer of a gift sees who contributed, their names and messages, and the amounts.
- Other contributors see the names and messages in a gift. They see amounts and the total only if the organizer turns that on.
- The recipient sees the gift, the contributors' names and messages, and the personal message from the organizer.
- Anyone with a gift's invitation link can see the gift's basic details so they can chip in. Share it with the people you want to invite.
Service providers
We share information only with companies that help us run Boon Bunny, and only what they need:
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing and refunds | Your card details (entered directly with Stripe), name, email, and the payment amount |
| Tango Card | Buying gift cards | The recipient's name and email, the brand and amount |
| Amazon Web Services (SES) | Sending email | Email addresses and the content of our emails |
| Google and Apple | Sign-in, if you choose it | The sign-in request from you; they send us your name and email |
| Sentry | Crash and error reporting | Error details, app version, device type, and your account's internal ID |
| Railway | Hosting our servers and database | The data described in this policy, stored on our behalf |
| Netlify | Hosting this website and the web app | Standard web request information, such as IP address |
| Google Fonts | Fonts on our web pages | Standard web request information, such as IP address |
Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy and our agreements with them. The gift card brands themselves receive information under their own terms when the recipient redeems a card.
Other cases
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business (in which case this policy keeps applying to your information).
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. We keep records of gifts, contributions, payments and gift card orders for as long as we need them to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, keeping payment records for as long as tax law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account. Without the app (for example, if you only chipped in to a gift on the web), go to solusindi.com/delete-account and we'll email you a link to confirm. When you delete your account:
- your name, email, phone number and Google or Apple sign-in are removed, and you can't sign in to that account again;
- your name and messages are removed from the gifts you chipped in to, and your card signatures, feedback answers and thank-you notes are deleted;
- we stop sending you email.
We keep records of payments (amounts, dates and Stripe references) without your name, because tax and accounting law requires it. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its privacy policy. Gifts you organized stay for the people who chipped in, shown as organized by "Deleted user". Gift messages and gift card emails already delivered can't be recalled. While a gift you organize is still open, or a bank payment of yours is still clearing, finish it first or email us and we'll help.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal information;
- correct information that's wrong;
- delete your account and personal information;
- stop or limit some uses of it, or send it to another service.
To delete your account, see Deleting your account above. For anything else, email support@solusindi.com from the address on your account and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, the UK or California), you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, store passwords as one-way hashes, encrypt gift card codes, and limit who can access your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and let us know at support@solusindi.com if you think something is wrong.
International transfers
We and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
Children
Boon Bunny isn't meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their information. Paying for a contribution requires you to be an adult or to have a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Beta
While Boon Bunny is in beta, payments and gift card orders may run in test mode, and we may contact you about your experience with the app. Your information is handled under this policy either way.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.
